Welcome to Peppermint Grove

Peppermint Grove is one of the State’s most beautiful suburbs, known for its large character homes set in tranquil tree-lined streets and lush, verdant parks located by the calm waters and serene shores of the Swan River.

The area embraces the river and foreshore parks for recreation, and is serviced by a major shopping complex and extensive range of retail and trade services.

The Shire has a population of about 1600, with a large proportion of residents who have long established links with the Shire going back over many generations.

The Library

The library service is jointly funded by the Town of Cottesloe, Shire of Peppermint Grove and the Town of Mosman Park, in partnership with the State Library of Western Australia.

In addition the Library is a member of the Western Suburbs Library Network which shares the catalogue and membership database with other libraries in the region, view library info.

Robson Findings report

This report contains the draft findings of the Metropolitan Local Government Review Panel, which commenced its work in July 2011. The draft findings are an indication of the Panel’s thoughts on the future of local government in metropolitan Perth and should be viewed as a progress report, not a final position. The Panel will continue its deliberations for several months before it comes to a conclusion.

Category winners announced for 2012 National Awards for Local Government

Federal Minister for Local Government Simon Crean announced the category winners of the 2012 National Awards for Local Government. The 27 category winners were judged by independent judging panels and include 11 winners from small councils with fewer than 15,000 rateable properties. Click for more info | Press Release.

Peppermint Grove students - chance to win a Kindle Wifi

Primary School and High School students who live in Peppermint Grove are invited to take part in a Shire of Peppermint Grove survey and be in the running to win a Kindle Wifi.

As part of its Community Plan consultations, the Shire of Peppermint Grove would like to know what students like about living in Peppermint Grove and what would make it an even better place to live. Two Kindle Wifi prizes will be given away - one for a Primary School student, one of a High School student.

To be in the running for the Kindle prize, surveys need to be submitted by 5pm Friday 23 March 2012.

Council & Committee Meeting Changes
