Peppermint Grove is one of the State’s most beautiful suburbs, known for its large character homes set in tranquil tree-lined streets and lush, verdant parks located by the calm waters and serene shores of the Swan River.

The area embraces the river and foreshore parks for recreation, and is serviced by a major shopping complex and extensive range of retail and trade services.

The Shire has a population of about 1600, with a large proportion of residents who have long established links with the Shire going back over may generations.

The library is jointly funded by the Town of Cottesloe, Shire of Peppermint Grove and the Town of Mosman Park.
