13 Jul AmpFest Breaks Entries Record

AmpFest 2012 received 79 applications from 71 acts, which is a record amount since the project was established in 2003.
A panel of judges have selected the top 15 acts who will perform across three heats in August. The four finalists will compete in the Final Showcase on Friday September 7 at the Regal Theatre and share in over $15,000 worth of prizes, including a Gibson Les Paul guitar courtesy of Zenith Music.

The finalists will join a rich history of AmpFest acts including Goodnight Tiger, Sisters Doll and 2005 runners up, Tame Impala.
