Shire of Peppermint Grove ~ Local Government Ordinary Council Elections
The Shire of Peppermint Grove elections are held every two years on the third Saturday in October, the next to be held on the 21 October 2017 for four Elected Member vacancies.
The Elected Members are elected for a four year terms, with half of the Elected Member’s term concluding at each biennial election.
The 2015 Election was held on Saturday, 19th October to fill two Elected Member vacancies.

The Elections are conducted as postal elections by the Western Australian Electoral Commission. The Commission appoints a Returning Officer who oversees the elections which includes taking candidate nominations and supervising the count on election night.
Election packages are posted to all electors on the Shire of Peppermint Grove roll approximately three weeks before election day. Every person enrolled on the electoral roll will be issued a ballot by mail and invited to complete the ballot and return it to the Shire by 6.00pm on the Election Day.
To cast your vote, complete the ballot papers, and mail back to the Western Australian Electoral Commission (WAEC) using the reply-paid envelope provided to reach the WAEC no later than COB to be confirmed
