Combined Australia Day Event 2022

Residents of Peppermint Grove, Cottesloe and Mosman Park are invited to the 2022 Combined Councils’ Australia Day Celebrations on Wednesday,
26 January 2022 from 8am at Manners Hill Park, corner Lilla Street and Johnston Street, Peppermint Grove.
The program will include:
- Welcome to Country
- Flag Raising Ceremony and National Anthem
- Australian Citizenship Ceremonies
- Affirmation Ceremony
- Congratulatory Address to new Australian Citizens
- Australia Day Address
- Australia Day Awards
In attendance will be Celia Hammond MP Federal Member for Curtin delivering the Minister’s message and address to new Australian citizens, Dr David Honey MLA Member for Cottesloe will present the congratulatory address to the new Australian citizens. This year Finalist, WA Senior Australian of the Year for 2020 Jenny Davis will join us as our esteemed Australia Day Ambassador for 2022 and will address the audience as part of the official Australia Day celebrations.
Following the celebrations, a free community sausage sizzle breakfast will be held, along with family entertainment provided by the Mighty Camelot Choir and children’s entertainer, Glenn Swift.
Why not think of the environment and consider walking or riding to Australia Day this year? Those who are unable to choose the more active mode of transport might consider catching public transport or carpooling, it can be an easy and convenient way to travel. This is a sustainable event please BYO drink bottle or water bottle.
The celebrations are proudly presented by the Shire of Peppermint Grove, Town of Cottesloe and Town of Mosman Park for the enjoyment and participation of all community members.
