Aged Care

There is a suite of services for the aged available within the Shire of Peppermint Grove. The Shire is directly associated with neighbouring local governments for the provision of services for the Aged in surrounding suburbs.

Shine Community Services

SHINE Community Services is located at 81 Forrest Street, Cottesloe. It is funded and supported by the Shire of Peppermint Grove in co-operation with the Towns of Claremont, Cottesloe and Mosman Park. Home and Community Care (HACC) funding is also received from the State Government to maintain this ongoing service. The service is run primarily by paid staff, with the assistance of volunteers and provides assistance for the elderly and people at risk in the areas of transport services, small maintenance requests, shopping and home visits.

SHINE’s services include the following:

• Domestic Assistance
• Personal Care
• Respite Care
• Meal Services 
• Transport Services
• Home and Garden Maintenance 
• Center Based Activities

Although the service is physically located at Cottesloe and funded by the four councils of Peppermint Grove, Cottesloe, Mosman Park and Claremont, its services are not limited to clients within these four western suburbs.
