The Shire of Peppermint Grove has received a planning application for a proposed addition (bedroom and living room) and alterations to a single house, and ancillary works at the above address.
The proposal seeks variations to the town planning scheme development requirement for garage door width, the local planning policy requirement for dividing fence height (rear). The proposal also seeks to vary the deemed-to-comply requirement of the Residential Design Codes for lot boundary setback (western) and sightlines. and relies on the corresponding design principles being demonstrated. It is noted that the proposed development seeks to replace the current non-compliant street wall with a compliant design and to replace the rear fence.

Please note that the submitted plans may be amended, or compliance otherwise be demonstrated by the proponent prior to determination.
Unless otherwise extended, the advertising period will close on 30 June 2025. Written submissions must be lodged within the advertising period to ensure they can be considered prior to determination of the application. Objections should articulate how you may be materially affected.
The Shire will acknowledge any written comments received and the decision-making process will have due regard to submissions. Written submissions will be kept on file and could be subject to a Freedom of Information request, or form part of a submission to the State Administrative Tribunal.
