Parking Management
Car parking with the Shire of Peppermint Grove is monitored by the Ranger and drivers are advised to abide by road markings and street verge signs relating to parking regulations.
Parking Restrictions
Parking restrictions and Local Parking Laws are applicable in various streets throughout the Shire of Peppermint Grove.
Please comply with parking signs as breaches of restrictions can incur fines.The following are common offences which occur in the Shire of Peppermint Grove
- Parking on or over footpaths
- Parking against the flow of traffic
- Parking along yellow edged lines (these indicate ‘No Parking and nationally recognised signage)
- Parking on reserves and parks
The owner of any vehicle found in contravention of these by-laws may be issued with an infringement notice.
Verge Parking
The street verge is part of the road reserve, being crown land vested in Council’s care and control. Parking of vehicles on a street verge is permitted with the consent of the adjoining occupant. Parking, standing or driving on Parks & Reserves or Foreshore is prohibited unless authorised by Council.
Parking Infringements
Persons contravening parking local laws will receive infringement notices with which they will be expected to comply and which will be enforced.

Please ensure that you have read the information on page 2 of the attached Infringement Appeal Form outlining what constitutes a valid appeal. If you wish to dispute your infringement, a completed Infringement Appeal Form must be submitted to the Shire no more than 28 days after the date of issue.
