The Town of Cottesloe and the Shire of Peppermint Grove are jointly preparing a Precinct Structure Plan for the Cottesloe Activity Centre (Cottesloe Village).

A Precinct Structure Plan guides how a place will grow and change into the future.  It will set out the future direction for Cottesloe Village: its buildings and land uses, streets and open spaces, environmental performance, access and transport, and more.

The site area includes the Grove Library, Cottesloe Central Shopping Centre, Cottesloe Train Station and surrounding landholdings in Napoleon Street, Station Street, Forrest Street and Jarrad Street.

It covers approximately 20 ha within multiple ownerships and management controls.  The area also includes land and facilities managed by State Government.

The work will build on the Draft Cottesloe Village Precinct Plan that was advertised in 2019. It is being reviewed and updated, to meet new policy guidelines outlined in State Planning Policy Framework 7.2 (Precinct Structure Plans).  This means that further stakeholder engagement is required to expand and build on the understanding of the project. area.
