Development Application for a Single House and Ancillary Works at 46 Keane Street

The Shire of Peppermint Grove has received a planning application for proposed single house and ancillary works at 46 Keane Street. The application has been assessed to demonstrate the desired 'Garden Shire' narrative and is fundamentally compliant.

 

The proposal is seeking to vary the deemed-to-comply requirement of the Residential Design Codes for siteworks and vehicular access and relies on the corresponding design principles being demonstrated. The siteworks variation is for excavation above 500mm to facilitate driveway access to the basement and for a portion of the southern basement (retaining) wall to be located 500mm closer to that boundary. The vehicular access variation is to permit access from Bay View Terrace being the primary street frontage.

 

Plans for the proposal are available for inspection at the Shire Administration Office, 1 Leake Street, Peppermint Grove, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm, or on the Shire’s website www.peppermintgrove.wa.gov.au

 

Please note that the submitted plans may be amended, or compliance with the planning framework otherwise be demonstrated by the proponent prior to determination.

 

Unless otherwise extended, the advertising period will close on 18 March 2026. Written submissions must be lodged within the advertising period to ensure they can be considered prior to determination of the application. Objections should articulate how you may be materially affected.
